Kicking stats – Week 10

Kicking Stats Week 10

There is a newcomer in the top 5, Gareth Anscombe of the Chiefs.  Although not too many kicks, 13/16 = 81% he is still listed at nr 5 out of the 17 kickers. However two South African kickers still remain in the top five.
The longer the competition progresses, we will see fewer kickers stay above the 80% average. At the moment only 5 kickers are still above average. Last week the percentage to poles from all the kickers had an average of 82%. This week it is 48/67 = 72%. The discrepancy between this week and last week could be attributed to a number of factors. For instance weather could play a role, the specific time  of the day the game was played, and it also shows you exactly how difficult it is to stay on top of your game every kick of every match.
